Welcome to 3e McKinney Scare Away Hunger!

As partners through 3e McKinney, we desire to be a group of people so impacted by Christ's love that we are engaging with those around us, being Christ's hands and feet as we demonstrate the difference He has made in our lives. One way to do this is by showing compassion for those in our community who don't have the basic necessity of food.

In Collin County (one of the most affluent areas in Texas), more than 8 percent of children (more than 65,000) live in poverty. The poverty line is defined as a family of four living on less than $22,050. (census data)

The need for food assistance is a harsh reality in our own neighboorhoods.

This is why we are taking steps to 'Scare Away Hunger'.

Here's how YOU can help...

For FBC McKinney

Pick up a Scare Away Hunger bag in the Connection or the Children’s Building of FBC McKinney on Sunday, October 21& 28.
Visit your neighbors the week of Halloween and invite them to join you to help "Scare Away Hunger". Bring all canned goods to the parking lot behind the Family Sports Center on Sunday morning, November 4. This date will be the only collection of the cans.

For Christ Fellowship

Pick up door hangers and place them on your neighbors doors now through Oct 30.
On the night of Halloween (Oct 31) go to your neighbors to collect can goods they would like to donate.
Bring your can goods to church on Sunday and drop them off at the display inside.
