Welcome to 3e McKinney Scare Away Hunger!

As partners through 3e McKinney, we desire to be a group of people so impacted by Christ's love that we are engaging with those around us, being Christ's hands and feet as we demonstrate the difference He has made in our lives. One way to do this is by showing compassion for those in our community who don't have the basic necessity of food.

In Collin County (one of the most affluent areas in Texas), more than 8 percent of children (more than 65,000) live in poverty. The poverty line is defined as a family of four living on less than $22,050. (census data)

The need for food assistance is a harsh reality in our own neighboorhoods.

This is why we are taking steps to 'Scare Away Hunger'.

You can help in three easy steps!

Fill in the information on the door hangers.
Visit your neighbors the week of Halloween and invite them to join you to help "Scare Away Hunger". Share with them that many churches in the area are collecting 15 oz canned vegetables and 15 oz canned fruit for the Community Food Pantry of McKinney. Leave the door hanger with them as a reminder. If they are not home try and visit them again. If you miss them again hang the door hanger on their door.
